28th March - Aldington
East Kent with West Street

Next meeting

ALDINGTON OFF
"Having walked the course this morning after 8-10mm of over night rain, we sadly have no option but to cancel the Aldington Point-to-Point on Easter Monday. This decision has been based on the fact that the course is unraceable today and emergency vehicles would not be able to get round the whole course. Additionally, we feel the next few days weather forecast will only make the situation worse. A huge amount of work has gone into staging the event, but the committee feel that it is the fair and sensible decision to make now for owners, trainers and the general public." Ian Gibson, East Kent with West Street Secretary.

1st Race - 2.00pm. The OPEN MAIDEN Race - 3m - 12st
Achemenes Poor form in Irish points and under rules.
Art Libre Poor form under rules. Ran out when leading last time out.
Big Kev Ran well at Parham when possibly needing the run.
Brogeen Boy Fell when travelling well at Ampton two months ago.
Dccovi Yet to get round although the ground was an excuse at Parham last time.
Indian Hill Unraced.
Iskrabob Showed one piece of good form but jumping perhaps an issue.
Maizonique Only run twice, pulling up each time.
Quick Oats Pulled up at Godstone last time but should be capable of better.
Scorpion Star Placed at first Cottenham meeting but hasn’t run for a while now.
Sir Reecer Yet to complete for new yard.
Skiptothegoodbit Run two good races but for falling/unseating at the second last.
Sobar Completed on first start but disappointed after, needs to show more.
West Lake Finished third in tiring ground at Parham and should be capable of progressing.

Mainly the same horses that are entered at Charing. Iskrabob is the highest rated but Scorpion Star may have his measure if he stays the trip. Quick Oats was pulled up at Godstone but should strip fitter for the run. Skiptothegoodbit has had issues with jumping but clearly has the ability to win a race. West Lake finished ahead of Big Kev last time and should improve for that run.
1. Iskrabob           2. Scorpion Star         3. West Lake

2nd Race - 2.35pm. The RESTRICTED Race - 3m - 12st
Beneficiarius Can be relied up if the race becomes a real stamina test.
Forrest Blue Beat My Brother Pat last season but has been disappointing this season.
Jacks Lastchance Won his maiden here but missed last season.
Jenna Pride Not disgraced to be beaten by Nimbus Lad at Parham and should run well.
Letskeepit Simple The form from his Godstone restricted has been given a big boost but better over shorter.
Macdougal Pulled up on both starts after a year off.
My Brother Pat Pulled up twice this season but should run better on better ground.
Nimbus Lad Has already won a Restricted and shouldn’t be qualified to enter..
Tinakellyflyer Decent form from 2012 but hasn’t run for three years.
Whatwillwedonext Probably pull up.

The only two who look capable of winning this could also run at Charing on Saturday. Ignoring them, Beneficiarius has a good chance here to land his restricted, while Forrest Blue should find this easier than what he’s experienced so far this season.
1. Jenna Pride/Letskeepit Simple       2. Beneficiarius      3. Forrest Blue

3rd Race - 3.10pm. The LADIES OPEN Race - 3m - 11st
Carloswayback Finished a well beaten fifth behind Conkies Lad at Charing
Conkies Lad Beat Little Legend at Penshurst and should up be able to uphold the form.
Counting House Won at Godstone but pulled up behind Conkies Lad at Penshurst.
De Clare Man Placed on both starts this season but this looks tougher.
Dead Or Alive Hasn’t shown good form for a while and probably best discounted.
Little Legend Back to form at Penshurst but found Conkies Lad too good.
Major Decision Pulled up in the heavy ground at Parham but even better ground won’t see him win.
Noble Commander Yet to get round this season.
Rey Nacarado Placed on all three starts this season and will appreciate a stamina test.
Ukrainian Star Pulled up at Penshurst and will find this tougher.
Witch’s Hat Showed improved form winning at Penshurst, but not enough to win this.
Wor Rom Placed well in two opens but unseated last time.
Yukon Delta Well beaten so far this season.

Conkies Lad breezed past Little Legend at Penshurst and looks capable of landing a few of these races for Izzie Marshall. Rey Nacarado can’t be discounted but perhaps lacks the gears.
1. Conkies Lad         2. Little Legend                3. Rey Nacarado

4th Race - 3.45pm. The East Kent with West Street HUNT Race - 3m - 12st
Art Libre Poor form under rules. Ran out when leading last time out.
Robins Wager Not showed much form this season.
Running In Heels Looked back to herself at Higham but needs fast ground.
Thenford Ryde Placed all last season but pulled up at Penshurst.
Wolram Yet to complete in three starts.
Yukon Delta Should find this race much easier than what he’s been used to.

This race could cut up with five of the entries trained by David Phelan. Running In Heels looks the best and she won this last year, but Thenford Ryde and Yukon Delta are capable of throwing down a challenge.
1. Running In Heels    2. Yukon Delta      3. Thenford Ryde

5th Race - 4.20pm. The MENS OPEN Race - 3m - 12st
Adept Approach Won easily at Penshurst and should follow up.
Bringinthebranston Pulled up at Charing and will need to improve from that.
Kornati Kid Pulled up in the Kent Grand National but may prefer the better ground.
Nimbus Lad Won his Restricted well at Parham but this is a step up.
Orfeo Conti Placed in good opens but this is his first run of the season.
Owenacurra Run well to finish fourth twice this season.
Ukrainian Star Pulled up at Penshurst and will find this tougher.
Yukon Delta Well beaten so far this season.

This looks a real penalty kick for Adept Approach even accounting for the fact he only ran last weekend. Of the rest Nimbus Lad should be expected to run well even though this is a step up. Orfeo Conti hasn’t run this season but could still grab a place.
1. Adept Approach      2. Nimbus Lad        3. Orfeo Conti

6th Race - 4.55pm. The Paddy Hughes Memorial PPORA CLUB MEMBERS Race - 3m - 12st
Bringinthebranston Pulled up at Charing and will need to improve from that.
Counting House Won at Godstone but pulled up behind Conkies Lad at Penshurst.
Dallas Cloud Not disgraced when a close third at Parham, should be able to win soon.
De Clare Man Placed on both starts this season and won here last season.
Dead Or Alive Hasn’t shown good form for a while and probably best discounted.
Kaybeew Struggles in races of this level but may be capable of placing.
Kornati Kid Pulled up on both his starts this season.
Mister Bricolage Won twice last season then was twice beaten favourite at Intermediate level.
Nimbus Lad Won his Restricted well at Parham and should soon win again.
Noble Legacy Missed 2014 and 2015, poor form this season.
Owenacurra Run well to finish fourth twice this season.
Running In Heels Looked back to herself at Higham but needs fast ground.
Time Is Tickin Ran slightly better last time but still not as good as he was last season.
Witch’s Hat Showed improved form winning at Penshurst, but this won’t be as easy.
Zardsky Finished 20l behind Rob Conti on only start this season.

De Clare Man and Dallas Cloud are closely matched but Nimbus Lad should handle the step up if he runs in this. Counting House will find this an easier task than a Ladies Open but still may not have enough.
1. Nimbus Lad           2. De Clare Man                 3. Dallas Cloud
